Hello! Honestly, I'm not sure how to go about this... I hate asking people for money. And in the last year, I feel like that's literally all I've been doing.

My name is Vicki/Rae.

Last year, my boyfriend James/Tode got very sick and almost died... he was diagnosed with a genetic degenerative disease that made the arteries and veins in his legs collapse, and we were unaware... he ended up having to have part of his foot removed.

The long and the short of it is that he was out of work for over 5 months. He's the main breadwinner of our family. (I work as a freelance artist.)

We've been trying to dig ourselves out of the hole his illness put us in, but honestly, it's been rough, and every time we start to get ahead, something happens.

His biological father died in the last year.

His adoptive father died in the last year.

His grandfather died in the last year.

The only thing that was saving us was that his job is with our landlord, and we were able to pay the back rent from when he was out of work slowly over the last few months.

That changed today... we are on the verge of losing everything. Home... job... EVERYTHING if we can't come up with about $2,300 USD in the next week or so?

I hate asking, he hates me asking... I'm honestly trying to work right now, but I'm shaking.

We have pets and a child... any little bit helps.
