Valerie Johnson is a radiant 39-year-old wife, homeschooling mama, and caretaker of a lively little home filled with dogs, cats, and chickens. Her days were once filled with laughter, learning, and the joyful chaos of motherhood. She has poured her entire heart into her family, her home, and everyone blessed to know her.

But in recent months, Valerie and her family have been walking through a storm they never saw coming. What began as a small lump in her breast has turned into a diagnosis of metastatic cancer that has spread to her chest wall and spine. The weakening of her vertebrae caused her back to break, leaving this once active, vibrant mama suddenly wheelchair and bed-bound.

She now faces the exhausting reality of having her lungs drained every 3–4 days—and even her heart drained—just so she can breathe. Yet through every procedure, every setback, every painful day, Valerie’s faith has not wavered. She continues to declare God’s goodness, trust His plan, and believe—fully and fiercely—in His healing power.

Her husband, Shane, has decided to step away from his small business to care for Valerie and their two children. He is pouring out everything he has. But with no income coming in, the financial burden has become overwhelming.

And still—this family chooses faith.
