My mom, Valeri—known to many as “Vicious Val”—has always been the strongest person I know. The nickname stuck because she’s tough, outspoken, and never backs down when life gets hard. But right now, she’s facing something that even she can’t fight alone.
She has been diagnosed with Stage IIIB cervical cancer, and our world has been turned upside down.
Val isn’t just a fighter—she’s a mother, a friend, and for years, a bartender who has been a listening ear, a source of laughter, and a steady presence for so many people. If you’ve ever sat across from her, you know she had a way of making you feel seen, heard, and taken care of—even on your worst days.
Whether you needed advice, a laugh, or someone to stand in your corner, she’s always been there. Now it’s our turn to be there for her.
Her treatment plan is aggressive and urgent, involving ongoing appointments, procedures, and time away from work. As a bartender, missing work means losing income entirely, and the financial burden is quickly adding up—medical bills, transportation, and daily living expenses are becoming overwhelming during an already difficult time.
If you know Val, you know she doesn’t ask for help. That’s why I’m asking for her.
We’re raising funds to help cover:
• Medical treatments and hospital bills
• Travel to and from appointments
• Everyday expenses while she focuses on healing
Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference. And if you’re not able to give, sharing this means just as much.
“Vicious Val” has spent her life being strong for everyone else—behind the bar and beyond. Now she needs a team behind her.
Thank you for your support, your prayers, and for standing with us in this fight.
