I never thought I’d be writing this. My husband was detained by ICE during his asylum appointment — an appointment he attended because he was trying to do everything the right way. We walked into that day hoping for progress and left completely heartbroken.
Since his detention, my world has felt turned upside down. The person I talk to every day, the person I love, support, and planned a future with, was suddenly taken away from me without warning. Watching someone you love disappear into detention is a pain I cannot fully describe.
He came to this country seeking safety and a chance at a better life. He is hardworking, caring, and someone who has always tried to stay hopeful despite everything he has been through. He showed up to his appointment because he believed in following the process honestly.
Now we are facing overwhelming legal fees, possible bond costs, communication expenses, and the emotional stress of trying to keep him supported while detained. I am doing everything I can to fight for him and make sure he is not alone during this time.
If you are able to donate, share, or even keep him in your thoughts and prayers, it would mean more than you know. Every contribution helps us get one step closer to bringing him home and giving him a real chance to continue his case with dignity and support.
Thank you for reading our story and for standing with us during one of the hardest moments of our lives.
