My brother Tyree is only 40 years old. He is a father to his 18-year-old son and a brand new grandfather. On Monday, 4/13/26, his life was changed forever in a single moment. After being struck by a NJ Transit train in New Brunswick, NJ, he has a long recovery journey ahead of him. It’s hard to put into words the pain, fear, and uncertainty our family is facing right now. He’s always been someone who shows up for his family and brightens a room with his jokes and laughter. Now he’s facing a long, overwhelming road of surgeries, rehabilitation, and learning how to live again in a completely new way.
As he fights to recover, the financial burden continues to grow—medical bills, life enrichment equipment, therapy, and the everyday responsibilities of being a father and now a grandfather. We’re asking from the bottom of our hearts for any support you can give, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this message. Every bit helps ease the weight he’s carrying and gives him a chance to focus on healing and being there for his family.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support during the most difficult time of his life.
