My name is Trevor, and I am wishing to raise money from my hospital stay at OSU Wexner Center. This was due to me at the age of 35 suffering cardiogenic shock due to vagus nerve dysfunction. October 28th was when the attack occurred, and at Kettering Main Campus I coded 3 severe times, the first of which was 40 minutes. The diligent staff were able to stabilize me and one of the nurses managed to find a clot in my right leg. The clot was removed, saving my leg from amputation and me having additional heart attacks. In order to stabilize my blood and oxygen, I was placed on ECMO, as was an impella device to pump my heart and oxygenate my blood. Even with the Impella and ECMO, my heart was functioning at 5%. I was unconscious, sedated for 10 days, while they did these procedures and stabilized me to the best of their abilities. After being stabilized on the two life-saving machines, I was transported via MICU to OSU Ross Heart Hospital. My Kettering doctors, Dr Reddy and Dr Garcia, determined that the care staff at Wexner was the best that I could get for my condition. I was awakened from sedation on November 8, holding my mother’s hand and asking what happened. I continued to be in the ICU until December 3, when I returned home with a walker, a shower chair, and a plethora of medicines. She explained the situation to me, as well as the staff at Wexner confirming that I have two genetic diseases that were unknown to me. The combo of these genetic diseases led to clotting issues, as well as the vagus nerve malfunctioning, causing heart arrhythmia. Because of the trauma that my body, oxygen and blood went through, I have no memory of the past 3 months of my life.

I am reaching out for help here to alleviate the large hospital bills which I have acquired due to my condition. I want to live long enough to have a family someday.
