Hi friends. I'm Josh Williams. Trent Melvin's Brother-in-law. Trent's a good man in a bad situation. My sister Kathy, Trent's wife, is a school teacher and has a lot on her plate with him struggling with his medical condition and any help would be greatly appreciated. Let me tell you more about what is going on.

On the morning of October 20, Trent did what he always did—he dropped his son off at school and headed home. But that day, he never made it back.

Hours passed with no answers. Phone calls went unanswered. Worry quickly turned into fear when Trent didn’t arrive to pick his son up from school that afternoon. After calling hospitals, police departments, and searching familiar routes, Trent was finally found unconscious in his truck at a gas station. He was rushed by ambulance to the hospital and admitted to the trauma ICU, fighting for his life.

The days that followed were overwhelming. Trent remained unconscious as doctors worked around the clock to stabilize him and relieve pressure on his brain from a stroke. His family waited by his side, facing uncertainty no one is ever prepared for. Progress came slowly, and recovery proved to be a journey filled with both hope and setbacks.

Then came a moment they will never forget—Trent began to respond. He squeezed a hand. He followed commands. He showed signs that he was still there and still fighting. Since then, he has continued to make gradual progress, breathing more on his own and becoming more aware with each passing day.

Trent’s recovery is far from over. Healing from a stroke is a long and unpredictable process, involving extended hospitalization, rehabilitation, and ongoing care. During this time, the focus has been on supporting Trent and ensuring his family can be by his side without the added weight of financial stress.

This fundraiser is to help cover ongoing medical expenses and support Trent and his family as they navigate the long road ahead. Every donation, share, and message of encouragement makes a difference and reminds them they are not facing this alone. He has given much to others and now it's our turn to help him out.

Thank you for your prayers, love, and support as Trent continues to fight his way forward.
