Travis was seriously injured in a vehicle accident and suffered a fractured back that required emergency surgery, where rods were placed to stabilize his spine and protect his spinal cord.

Following the accident, Travis experienced loss of movement and sensation from the waist down. Since surgery, there have already been encouraging signs of recovery, but he faces a long road ahead that may include rehabilitation and physical therapy.
