Standing with Travis and Shelli in Their Time of Need

My name is Shelli Reynolds. Recently, my husband Travis Reynolds, succumbed to his depression, and set himself on fire. By the grace of God, he survived, but will be in the hospital for months recovering, and there is no guarantee he is going to live, as he is still very weak.

So far, he has needed 12 liters of blood because his blood isn't clotting, and he is still having random bleeds, and they can not figure out why. There seems to be no medical reason for them.
He also has inhalation injuries that has scarred his lungs and esophagus, and can not speak. He may never speak again, we are not sure yet.

He sustained second-degree burns to his head, neck, arms, hands, and chest. So far, he had 4 surgeries.

He will need more skin grafting, speech therapy, physical therapy, and mental health therapy.

And now he needs gallbladder surgery, but they will not do it locally. They say it has to be done in Dallas or Houston. We do not have the money and no insurance.
The gallbladder issue was caused by the prolonged feeding tube they think.

Yes, he is extremely remorseful, and this experience has made him realize how lucky he is to be alive, and he wants to live and come home. He also wants a lot of mental health therapy.
It is a blessing in and of itself that he wants help, and is alive to be asking for help!

He was the main breadwinner in our home. This has left us with nothing in the bank.
I am disabled and on SSI. I have very limited funds and need some things to maintain our home. I can't work. I have Lupus, Fibromyalgia, and (possibly) Parkinson's. I am partially wheelchair-bound.

My SSI check will barely cover our rent and phone. We need some help. He will be in the hospital for the next 2-3 months at least, and it is up to me to take care of everything while he is gone, and I can't do it alone.

Once he gets home, there will be ongoing medical treatments, physical therapy, speech therapy, and medications that he will need.
He does not have insurance, because we can not afford the new prices.
We appreciate any help anyone can give to us to help with his recovery. Prayers are also very welcome!

PLEASE NOTE:
I have chosen NOT to hide what he did, because I need people to understand that mental health and depression is a serious serious issue, and the impact that it has on the lives of the people who are left behind to pick up the pieces. It needs to be discussed. Discussion leads to prevention. Please talk to your loved ones about depression.

There was no intent of malice, or to hurt anyone, but to bring awareness to this terrible tragedy that could have actually been WAY worse than it actually was. A husband, a father, a grandfather, a son, a friend, and a guildmate could have been lost to depression.

I am sorry if anyone was hurt by the truth, but the truth is all I can, and will, give. If it saves someone's life in the future, then it was worth ruffling a few feathers.

People are mad. People are sad. People are hurt. People are scared. This was a shocking event that hurt a LOT of people.
We all feel something different right now. But one thing we all have in common, is that we all love, and care about Travis. This will have a ripple effect for a long, long time. Everyone is suffering because of this. Everyone.
