Sergeant Thomas Hennessey has dedicated 34 years of his life to serving and protecting others. His career began in 1990 as a 20-year-old Summer Reserve Police Officer with the Yarmouth Police Department. He later served with the Arlington Police Department before returning home to Yarmouth, where he continued to build a legacy of commitment, leadership, and compassion.

Tommy is best known for the kind of man he is. He always puts others before himself—a steady presence, a mentor, and a friend to many. He is a devoted husband, a father, a beloved sibling, and a man of few words whose actions speak volumes.

Tommy has fought cancer fiercely over the years—never complaining, never seeking sympathy, and never letting it affect who he is as a person.
