An update from Todd’s sister, Kristen.
“I am reposting this GoFundMe page with an update on Todd's condition.
A lot has happened since Todd's heart attack and his helicopter ride to Pittsburgh Presbyterian Hospital on February 10th. Todd and Barb asked I update friends and family on his condition and on some other events that have occurred since. The Good News is Todd is talking, walking short distances and getting stronger. As a result, he has been accepted as a Heart transplant recipient with the possibility of a double transplant that would include a Kidney. He has a journey ahead of him, for sure. And we, his family, are doing it with him.
Sadly, on Friday, March 6th, Logan Hullinger, their son, passed away unexpectedly. Logan would have turned 30 on March,10. Logan was the 2nd of their three children. Please hold Todd, Barb, Ian and Julia close to your hearts. I'm not sure what anyone can do other than love them hard, be present for them when able, send positive thoughts and say a prayer.
Todd is greatly moved by the generosity of all who donated and wanted me to be sure to say it over and over again.”
Todd and Barb Hullinger have been our friends and neighbors for 20 years. To us and so many in our incredible community they are more than friends, they are family. They have always showed up to laugh, cry, help and support so many. It is our turn to help them as they have helped so many through the years.
Late in the evening of February 10, 2026 this dad, husband, friend, son and brother experienced a life changing cardiac event. He was lifeflighted to Pittsburgh where he remains and will remain for the long recovery process. During the first 24 hours, he underwent multiple procedures to safe his life. Barb was able to hear his voice yesterday, to look in his eyes. His first concern was of her, their home and taking care of his family. Barb needs to be by his side during these very critical days and weeks to be his support, his advocate, his everything.
They rely on both of their incomes, as many of us do. And at this time, there is none. With Barb’s permission, we are setting up this fund to lift this burden, to close this financial gap so the life they built in Clarion can be financially supported while they fight for his life.
Every penny of this fund will go straight to Barb and Todd so their home is maintained, bills are paid and any medical bills not covered by insurance.
