Hi everyone, this is Sarah — Tjibbe’s sister-in-law.

As many of you know, Tjibbe and Edie have been faithfully walking through this long season of health challenges. They’ve faced it all with such courage and trust in God, even as the road has grown harder. I wanted to share a bit about their current situation and give friends and family an opportunity to come alongside them in prayer and support.

Right now, the struggle is both physical and financial. This crisis has meant that Edie and Tjibbe both have had to take a leave from work, leaving them with roughly 20% of their normal income. They are trusting God to provide as Tjibbe focuses on strength & recovery through the end of the year. There are still many unknowns they are facing courageously.

After speaking with their financial advisor, they realized they will need to take a hardship withdrawal from their humble retirement account — something they’re grateful to have, and willing to use. Their advisor also encouraged them to give others the opportunity to bless them with help to lighten the load.
