Somos la familia Troya Ricaurte y hoy acudimos a su solidaridad para pedir apoyo en la recuperación de nuestro querido papá.
En octubre de 2025, nuestro papá sufrió un derrame cerebral, lo que marcó el inicio de un proceso de salud muy difícil. Desde entonces, ha enfrentado múltiples complicaciones, incluyendo cinco neumonías y una cirugía para colocar una sonda de alimentación (gastrostomía).
Actualmente, necesita continuar con terapia física, terapia respiratoria y terapia de deglución, además de varias citas médicas constantes. Todos estos tratamientos son fundamentales para su recuperación, pero también representan un costo muy elevado para nuestra familia.
A pesar de nuestros esfuerzos, se nos ha hecho imposible cubrir todos los gastos, por lo que hoy recurrimos a su apoyo. Cualquier ayuda, por pequeña que sea, marcará una gran diferencia en este proceso.

We are the Troya Ricaurte family, and today we turn to your generosity to ask for support regarding our beloved dad's recovery.
In October 2025, our dad suffered a major hemorrhagic stroke, marking the beginning of a very difficult health journey. Since then, he has faced multiple complications, including five bouts of pneumonia and surgery to place a feeding tube.
Currently, he requires 24/7 nurses, ongoing physical, respiratory, and swallowing therapy, medical food, medications, and numerous regular medical appointments.
The structure of the healthcare system in Ecuador prevents him from using health insurance for in-home care. We’re doing everything we can to keep him in the comfort of his own home and prevent further complications in this stage of his life. However, this has become a significant expense for our family.
Despite our best efforts, we are now struggling to cover all the expenses, which is why we are reaching out to you for support today. Any contribution—no matter how small—will make a huge difference in this process.
His monthly expenses are about $4,000, so your recurring donation (no matter how small!) greatly helps us plan ahead for the coming months.
