I am volunteering year-round as a Justice Facilitator in the Four Courts, supporting the people of Ireland as they navigate Ireland’s justice system. I’ll be working between the Four Courts and the Criminal Courts of Justice, providing direct, accessible guidance to people seeking Justice.
I will also be assisting individuals nationwide in engaging with Ireland’s 6,000+ Peace Commissioners and over 70 District Judges across the 100 District Courts, helping them use statutory law to safeguard and vindicate their fundamental rights.
At present, there is no public service in Ireland offering this kind of hands-on, independent support to citizens. Too often, barriers such as complexity, cost, and intimidation prevent people from exercising their constitutional right to justice. My mission is to break down those barriers and ensure that everyone, regardless of means or background, has someone to stand help them throughout the process.
I will also support individuals in challenging unlawful prosecutions brought by members of An Garda Síochána or the Director of Public Prosecutions, helping them transfer their cases from the District Court to the High Court under their constitutional entitlements.
Every two months, I aim to raise €7,000 to support a full-time, 40-hour working week assisting people in the Four Courts, the Criminal Courts of Justice, and District and Circuit Courts nationwide. This includes operating a 7-day phone line from 9am–9pm, responding to calls, texts, and WhatsApp messages, making court forms available in template format, providing step-by-step guides, and showing people how to properly engage with the Rules of the District, Circuit, and Superior Courts.
This funding allows me to continue this initiative on a modest income equivalent to the minimum wage. I am sincerely grateful for every contribution, which enables me to keep doing this work in the public interest.
The October–November 2025 target has already been reached, and I am now working towards the December 2025 – January 2026 goal.
Thank you for your support. Together, we can make access to justice a reality for all.
