On April 6, 2026, brother and sister Jackson and Jamison Mobley were involved in a horrible car accident on their way to a family spring break trip, along with Jamison's two best friends, Charlotte and Jaylyn. Sadly, Jackson, Charlotte, and Jaylyn were all killed. This tragedy has rocked these families and our entire community.
Eric "Jackson" Mobley was a senior and had attended Horizon Christian Academy since 7th grade. He was a gentle giant, an incredible brother, had the best one-liners, and was a dream son to his parents. He had planned on attending Chattahoochee Tech in the fall to study HVAC and had aspirations of owning a commercial HVAC company one day. We know that the last thing his soul did earthside was to help save his sister, Jamison.
Jamison Elle Mobley is a junior at HCA, where she has attended since 6th grade. She is an excellent volleyball player and has the voice of an angel, gaining her the lead role in the play Footloose at school. She can be found writing songs, playing the guitar or piano, baking in the kitchen, laughing with her best friends, or being a part of youth group at several churches.
Jamison's road to recovery is going to be hard and she's going to need all the support she can get. We know that Jamison survived for a reason and we know that God has big plans for her. Part of that plan is to never allow the memories and all that Jackson, Jaylyn, and Charlotte stood for to fade. She loves her two best friends and brother with all her heart.
Jackson and Jamison's family is now facing the unimaginable pain of losing their beloved son and praying for Jamison to make a full recovery. But the road ahead of her will not be easy. She is still at a hospital in Florida where the family is praying that she will get to a place of stability where she can be transferred to a more specialized facility closer to home. We know that there is a traumatic brain injury and damage to the carotid artery. She has already made incredible strides. As of Sunday April 12, she has come off the ventilator, which was a huge answer to prayer. Unfortunately, now she is facing an infection and fever. Please pray for the infection to be identified quickly, for the fever to break and for her lungs to clear so that she can breathe easier. We will try to post updates here as we receive them.
Please continue to lift up the Mobley and Bryant families, as well as the other families grieving at this time. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support that we have been shown. Contributions here will help the family navigate the immediate and ongoing impact of this loss, including travel, memorial arrangements, and the broader impact this loss has on the family during this time. Any amount that you could give would be greatly appreciated. Anything raised above what is needed to support the families will be directed towards causes that reflect these kids' life, faith, and the communities that they cared about.
Thank you for standing with these families, honoring the memory of these beautiful children, and interceding for miraculous healing for Jamison.
