This fundraiser is for Terrie. I am organizing it on her behalf to help support her during her fight with pancreatic cancer.

Terrie has spent her life giving to others. As a former government employee and a beloved member of her church choir, she is known for her warm smile, her kind heart, and the way she makes everyone feel welcomed and cared for. She is always friendly, helpful, and generous — the type of person who quietly supports everyone around her. It would be nice if those of us who know her could be generous enough to give something back to her during this difficult time.

Terrie has always been known, especially to those of us who worked alongside her, as someone who carries a unique vibrance. The warmth she exudes is contagious, and she truly made a difference in the workday of many of us. She has a way about her — even a simple morning greeting from Terrie was uplifting. When we worked together, there were many times when that smile remained even if she was juggling her own life obstacles. She still carries on, brightening the lives of others without hesitation.

Recently, Terrie received the heartbreaking diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. She is now facing intense medical treatment, countless appointments, and the heavy emotional and physical toll that comes with this illness. The financial burdens of all this have become extremely challenging, if not overwhelming. During this time, Terrie retired, giving up her paycheck for a pension. But due to the government shutdown, her pension has never been issued, leaving her with no real means of support and rapidly depleting her savings.

We are raising funds to help Terrie with:

Medical bills and treatment expenses

-Medications

-Transportation to and from appointments

-Everyday expenses that become more difficult during illness — especially with no income to help her afford even routine costs.

Terrie has spent years lifting others up through her service, her kindness, and her beautiful voice in the church choir. Now it’s our turn to lift her up.
