It is a rare thing in life to find a friend that throughout the years, no matter how life beat her down, is always so positive.
Tara has been a true close friend for over 20 years now. She has struggled so much with medical problems that have made life a maze of ups and downs. Missed prescriptions because of bad healthcare or being dropped from assistance without notice have made working hard, and in many cases, have made her homeless, living in her car. But she is always so positive, saying, "God will help me, I am blessed."
And with very little help from her family, plus government help fading in and out with funding, it has been a hard road for her. And still now, in an hour of great darkness, she says, God has a plan for me!
Tara is now fighting stage 4 cancer, from her breast down her entire spine. She had to have metal pins and rods inserted into her spine and is supposed to be continuing with treatment, BUT, she has no more money. Assistance has run out, her Social Security is behind and down on payments. She can't pay her rent, so she may get evicted. She can't pay her car payment/registration, so at least she has a car to sleep in if she does get evicted. Her EBT was just cut down to $40 for food for the month, and she just had her surgery 2 weeks ago!!!
I only ask that if you have anything, no matter what, it will help!!! Tara has always helped me to look on the bright side. She has shown me that no matter how bad things may look, God has a plan! I hope you can find it in your heart to help a beautiful soul at least be somewhat comfortable in what may be her final days.
I have met and known many people in my journeys of life, but Tara has always been that real friend who was always there when I needed someone to help me out of my dark times. No matter what she was going through, she always made me feel like there was, and is, hope, even now! SO PLEASE HELP, EVEN A MEAL WOULD MAKE HER DAY BRIGHTER!
