Good morning,
My name is Tabatha Fatolitis. On 3/7/26, I woke up in severe pain in my left leg. Being the person I am, I tried my best to stay away from the hospital. Encouraged by loved ones, I finally went that Monday, and blood work came back showing that my white blood cells were elevated, and they wanted to admit me to find the reason. I had a total knee replacement on this knee 2 years ago. The doctor did their testing and found that I needed to have emergency surgery on that left knee again. Once they got in, they found a huge pocket of infection setting behind and attached to the metal parts. They removed my artificial knee and replaced it with a cement spacer filled with antibiotics. Once the infection is gone, they will go back in with another surgery to replace my artificial knee.
I've never had to ask for help and had to tell myself there are times we have to. Bills don't stop coming in, food still needs to be bought. I received my last paycheck until I'm able to go back to work. Anything would be appreciated.
