My name is Liane Barclay and I am raising funds for Sydney Rowe. Sydney was a bystander in a drive-by shooting who was hit in the back of the head as she was crossing the street back to her home on Friday night after her shift at Sorry Charlie’s.

Miraculously, she survived.

Over 40,000 people are killed by gunshot, with an additional 80,000 gunshot wound survivors annually.

Gunshot wounds to the head are fatal over 90% of the time.

We cannot believe how fortunate we are to still have her, but there’s a long, difficult road ahead of her.

Sydney finds herself now unable to work to pay her regular bills and her nearly insurmountable medical bills. Like many of us, Sydney has no medical insurance and no recourse to find who did this to her or to get any kind of recompense.

Sydney has lived and worked in Savannah for her entire adult life. Even though her family lives all the way in Iowa, at 28 years old, she has made a life for herself and built a loving community around her here with us.
