Hello, this fundraiser was created to support Suzy a Transwoman who is being held in detention by ICE. She was transported to Stewart Detention Center in Georgia, after being detained in Franklin County North Carolina. She is well known in her community as a leader and activist, that has strong ties to movement work in this state. Founding member of multiple community grassroots groups and Executive Director of a mutual aid organization that supports Trans folks, Suzy is the example of resistance in rural areas.

We are very thankful to Raleigh Immigration Law Firm for taking Suzy's deportation defense pro-bono. These funds will be used to cover any cost associated with her detention, liberation and any additional legal defense expenses. Anything you are able to donate will be put to good use.
