Hello, this is Sugar Walker's aunt. With her permission I have set up this GoFundMe account to help with her overwhelming medical expenses.

Sugar underwent heart valve replacement and repair surgery on November 13, 2025 at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama. Following surgery, she experienced serious lung complications and spent over a week on an ECMO machine, along with extensive therapy. After weeks of fighting, she was finally able to go home on December 11th.

Sadly two days later Sugar was rushed to a local hospital with an infection in both lungs and was transferred back to UAB on December 14th. The medical bills for this type of prolonged, critical care are already reaching tens of thousands of dollars and continue to grow. During this time, her husband has been on leave from work to remain by her side, resulting in lost income, while everyday expenses- such as travel costs, and basic living needs- continue.
