Support for Sue’s Fight to Heal

My name is Ashley, and I’m writing this with a heart that is both heavy and full of hope.

On December 18, our world was turned upside down when my mom, Sue, suffered a massive brain hemorrhage. She was on blood thinners, which made stopping the bleed incredibly difficult. Doctors told us there was little chance we would get her back, mind or body.

But God had other plans.

Since that day, my mom has endured multiple surgeries, two brain surgeries to remove clots and relieve pressure, and three abdominal surgeries due to a bowel obstruction. She now has a tracheostomy and a feeding tube, and she has been fighting through complications while also managing underlying health issues including kidney disease, atrial fibrillation, and recent heart stents.

Despite everything stacked against her, she is here, and she is fighting.

Each day brings small but powerful victories. She can nod yes and no. She recognizes us. She can wiggle her toes and squeeze hands, strong on her right side and slowly working on her left. One of the most emotional moments of my life was when I told her I loved her, and she mouthed the words back to me. We are witnessing a miracle in progress.

The road ahead is long. Sue will require extended hospital care once she leaves the ICU, rehabilitation, therapy, medical equipment, and ongoing support once she is able to move forward in recovery. Our family has been by her side day and night, advocating for her and supporting one another through the hardest season of our lives.

We are asking for help, whether through donations, sharing this page, or continued prayers. Every contribution will go directly toward medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and helping our family remain present and focused on Sue’s recovery without the overwhelming weight of financial stress.

Most of all, we ask that you keep lifting Sue up in prayer. We truly believe those prayers are what have carried her this far.

Thank you for loving my mom, for supporting our family, and for believing with us that miracles still happen.

With gratitude and hope,
Ashley & Family
