Steven Perez Pinto. We all knew him as Pinto. One of the most caring and outgoing males that was at Justice High School. Always standing next to his friends when they were going through hard times, putting others' needs and feelings in front of his own. He created memories with everyone, always being a friendly individual to anyone. He always made everyone laugh because that’s just the type of person he is. He was respectful and compassionate. His goofy personality was definitely everyone's favorite part about him.
He was recently in a tragic car accident that has put him in critical condition, causing him to undergo facial reconstruction and cerebral surgery. Sadly, our friend Steven was the only person severely hurt. Currently connected to a ventilator that is helping him breathe, feeding him through a tube with a formula giving him all his nutrients, and receiving blood transfusions. Getting the best attention.
Steven was an athlete. He enjoyed playing football and lacrosse, but his favorite sport was football. That was his life; it was a big deal for him. Always trying to make the best of times with anyone and everyone. He has been my best friend for almost 6 years. Not once has he left me alone, always checked up on me. This kid always found a way to put a smile on my face when I hit rock bottom. Having a sweet and loving heart. Always a role model for younger kids. He would go to the park with my younger brother to play football, making him laugh and teaching him different things.
Now it's our turn to be there for him and his family. These funds will go directly to his mother who is taking leave to be there 24/7 with her son, watching over Steven and his condition, putting up a brave front for her son, and speaking to doctors that are walking in frequently to update her on the next steps to his recovery. We will all be patiently waiting for him throughout his whole recovery, supporting every step of the way. Let’s all help, and most importantly, keep Steven in our prayers.
