Since December 1st, Steve Lingle has been hospitalized with stroke-like symptoms, and the weeks since have brought ups and downs as doctors work to diagnose and care for him. His symptoms include pain, loss of dexterity and numbness on his left side, double vision, and more. They have discovered that he has a CSF leak that has caused a blood clot to form in his brain. (See fundraiser Updates for current info on his treatment.)
The encouraging news is that his neurologists are optimistic that once the CSF leak is sealed, he will recover. But we don't know how much longer he will remain in the hospital and how long it may take before he is able to fully return to work.
Steve is the sole breadwinner for his family, and his hospitalization has made it impossible for him to continue his full-time job or weekend performing gigs as an amazing balloon artist creating unique, fun balloon creations — income they depend on to meet their needs.
Throughout this journey, Steve, Jennifer, and their boys are grounded in their faith and trust in the Lord — believing He has a plan and is the Great Healer. They are deeply grateful for your prayers and the encouragement and love they’ve already been shown.
This fundraiser is intended to help support the family during this uncertain time, allowing Steve to focus fully on healing and rehabilitation. Donations will go toward their heavy medical expenses not covered by their insurance, as well as everyday living costs and bills while he recovers.
Any support — whether through a donation, sharing this page, or continued prayers — means more than words can express. Thank you for walking alongside this family with compassion and generosity. Also, Steve is really encouraged by visitors. Please message Alana Calhoun Lingle on Facebook for info on visiting.
If you prefer, you can donate through an online payment platform like Venmo. Please reach out to Alana for their Venmo info if desired.
