I am reaching out during a challenging time to ask for your support. On September 9, 2026, I underwent a bilateral salpingectomy (the removal of both fallopian tubes). One week into my recovery, I faced a serious complication and was diagnosed with a small pulmonary embolism (blood clot) in my left lung. I was immediately prescribed a daily regimen of Xarelto and Fondaparinux (7.5mg) injections.

Unfortunately, during my one-month follow-up with the pulmonologist, we received discouraging news. The blood clot in my left lung has doubled in size, and a new, smaller clot has developed in my right lung. Because of this progression, my medical team has had to alter and intensify my treatment plan.

This unexpected turn has placed an overwhelming financial burden on us. My insurance coverage has been exhausted and will no longer cover my monthly specialist appointments or my critical medications. The ongoing out-of-pocket costs are broken down below:

• Specialist Visit: $75 per month

• Oral Medications: $181 per month

• Injection Medications: $865 per month

• Total Monthly Expenses: $1,121

Currently, I am a full-time student and unable to work due to these health complications. While my fiancé is working incredibly hard to support us, meeting these steep monthly medical bills on a single income is simply not sustainable.
