Stephan Herbst went into a competition ready to give his all, but left facing one of the toughest challenges of his life. During a recent competition, Steph sustained a serious injury and was taken to the hospital. Doctors later determined that Stephan suffered a stroke related to the impact. He is currently receiving care and is expected to remain hospitalized for the coming weeks as he begins the challenging process of recovery from a brain injury.

Stephan was competing while he sustained his injury, and the event organizers have already stepped forward to provide meaningful support. We are deeply grateful for the care and concern that has been shown during this difficult time.

Even with that support, an extended hospital stay and the medical care that comes with it will create significant expenses for Stephan and his family.
