My sister Stacy needs our help. Today, Jan 30th, she called 911 to report her (now ex) partner had assaulted her, and he fled while cops were on the way. She finally took the steps to start a protection order and told the landlord he is no longer welcome on the property.
And while she emotionally (and physically) heals, let’s help her with the financial burden she is left with. Unfortunately, she lost her job of seven years a couple of months ago. Even though she expressed to her employer she was struggling in a domestic violent (mostly verbal abuse until today) partnership and with the demands of a job assisting over 400 low-income or homeless clients - she could no longer keep up and was let go. She is currently only receiving PFMLA, which isn’t a lot, while she looks for work and copes with the tremendous stress of everything going on.
I understand times are hard, but anything helps. I know my sis would even appreciate a message with a dad joke or something to cheer her up. And if you can donate, the money will directly go to rent, bills, school loans (she graduated with a bachelor's in Fine Art in 2014 from San Francisco State while working three jobs), funds for dog care since he abandoned his animal with her and she would never turn his dog over to an animal shelter, money to fix her car from him destroying the car while driving it, and cleaning fees from him storing his (soiled) things in it while he stayed with her and hotels for the last two months since he was evicted from his previous home.
Your funds will go towards fixing damages he made to her home even though she let him stay and she paid the majority of the rent since he hasn’t been employed in years. Lastly, your funds will assist future self-care bills such as therapy while she processes all of what happened. Stacy hates asking for help, but she loves helping people. So let’s help her :) Thanks, everyone.
