On April 2, 2026, Sonya was diagnosed with cervical cancer, and her world changed in an instant.

She is stepping into this fight with courage, but the reality is overwhelming. Alongside the fear that comes with a cancer diagnosis, she is facing the physical toll of treatment and the emotional weight of so many unknowns.

While she is surrounded by the love and support of her family, Sonya is also a caregiver to her husband, Earl, who has ongoing health challenges of his own. Even in the midst of her own battle, she continues to carry that role with strength and love.

In the midst of all of this, she is also carrying the burden of significant medical and treatment-related expenses.

We are humbly asking for help in raising $11,000 to ease that burden so she can focus on healing rather than financial stress.

    •    $8,000 will go toward her medical deductible, already met through her emergency room visit, blood transfusions, and hospital stay

    •    $1,000 will cover ambulance transportation from St. Pete General to Bayfront on April 2, 2026

    •    $2,000 will help with gas and essential living expenses during this intense season of treatment

Sonya will undergo chemotherapy once a week along with radiation five days a week. At this time, her care team is optimistic that treatment will span approximately five weeks, along with multiple blood transfusions to help maintain her hemoglobin levels.

While there is still uncertainty in what lies ahead, we are holding onto hope and trusting God through each step of this process.

This is a deeply vulnerable time for her. We are asking, as humbly as possible, for support with only the necessary expenses directly related to her care. Any amount, no matter how small, makes a meaningful difference.

More than anything, we ask for your prayers — for peace when fear rises, strength when her body is tired, comfort in the unknown, and complete healing in Jesus’ name.
