Hello Everyone,

It comes with great reluctance that we (Simon's parents) are reaching out to the world about our son, Simon Huang, who has suffered an severe traumatic brain injury, fractured skull, fractured ribs and a laceration to his liver as a result of a motor vehicle accident driving his Mazda Miata. I have never been a person asking for help but in these hard times, we have been faced with a financial burden that is every parent's nightmare. The medical cost is ramping up and Simon's medical insurance is not covering facilities that would give him the recovery care he needs.

Simon had very recently obtained his Masters Degree in Speech Pathology and was only working as a speech pathologist for a couple weeks before the motor vehicle accident. At this time, he is still in an acute hospital setting and has a very long road to recovery. His ability to self care is very much at stake without the proper rehabilitation and support.

We (Simon's parents) are in retirement age and we have burned through our savings in this tragic event involving our son. We only hope that he can get better and live a fulfilling life. I want to thank everyone who is able to contribute and/or share this GoFundme account. We will update his progress as times progresses.

Update (01/28/26): It has been unbelievable by all the support that community has given us. We want to thank every one of you that contributed and by sharing this story. Simon is still at the hospital awaiting placement into a rehabilitation unit. He is continuously surrounded by friends and family. I will keep updating this as time progresses. Thank you for your prayers and keeping Simon in your mind and hearts.
