Support Shawn Tegtmeier During Her Multiple Myeloma Relapse
Many in the Crystal Lake community know Shawn as a long time resident, consummate volunteer, personal trainer, running coach and inspiration to many. She supports the city of Crystal Lake through her involvement with the Parks Foundation, the Arts, Girls on the Run, and many other local non profit organizations.
Today, Shawn needs our help.
Shawn is facing a relapse of Multiple Myeloma. As she focuses on treatment and recovery, she will be unable to work.
For years, Shawn has been the person encouraging others, pushing them forward, and reminding them they are stronger than they know. Now it’s our turn to stand beside her.
Why we are asking for help
Because of Shawn’s relapse, her current chemotherapy and other treatments, she is unable to coach or train clients for the time being. This means the sudden loss of income, just as medical costs and daily living expenses continue to rise.
Funds raised will help cover:
- Medical expenses
- Basic living expenses while she cannot work
- Recovery time so Shawn can focus on healing
