Shawn was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September of this last year and is in the fight of his life. Since diagnosis, the cancer has metastasized to his liver and he is stage 4.

Prior to becoming ill, he was an iron worker for the Local 25 where he has worked faithfully for the last 27 years. Shawn is also a proud father of a beautiful 6-year-old daughter who is his world. This illness has been devastating to his family as there are not currently any trials that his condition qualifies for. Right now, he has chemo treatments at U of M Ann Arbor and he will continue to fight. Thank you to everyone who has already reached out and sent so much love our way. If you know him, you know what a fighter he is and while our hearts are heavy, we continue to hold onto hope and faith for healing and continued strength.
