She Helped Thousands Heal. Now She May Never Walk Again

She Helped Thousands Heal. Now She May Never Walk Again Without Help.

She is on bed rest right now, being told that one wrong move could take away her ability to walk forever…

In just days, she faces the only surgery that can stop that from happening…

She has spent her life showing up for others, and now she needs us to show up for her…

A Message from Chris W. Mahne aka Tiger

Shannon does not ask for things. She never has. So, I am asking.

My name is Chris W. Mahne otherwise known as Tiger. Shannon and I have been connected for over thirty-three years. We were even once married. That chapter ended, but the bond never did, nor did our friendship... For decades, I have watched her give herself fully to other people’s healing without keeping score, and without ever asking for anything in return.

She is on mandatory bed rest under the immediate threat of permanent paralysis.

Her spine is failing. Her doctors have given her a surgery date of April 21st, 2026 and a strong warning: one wrong move, and she may never walk again…

Who is Shannon Von Burns

For more than twenty-five years, Shannon Von Burns has been a yoga therapist, healer, and guide to thousands.

She has trained teachers who went on to teach countless others.
She has traveled across continents supporting healing retreats and ceremonies.
She has sat with people in their darkest moments and stayed until they found their way back.

She is the person who shows up. Every time.

Not for recognition. Not for reward. But because that is who she is.

What Is Happening Right Now

In 2008, Shannon was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis, an aggressive autoimmune disease that attacks the spine, hands, and feet.

After years of fighting it, the disease appeared to go into remission in 2023.
In 2025, it came back, fast and unforgiving.

Recent imaging confirms catastrophic failure in her lumbar spine. Two discs are completely gone. Multiple levels have collapsed. Critical nerves are being compressed.

She is now experiencing:
Right foot drop
Both knees buckling without warning
Loss of bladder and bowel control

These are not early symptoms.
They are signs of active neurological damage happening now.

A few weeks ago, while walking her dogs, her knees gave out completely. She collapsed without warning.

Her doctor immediately ordered full bed rest. No walking... No movement…

One wrong step could take away her ability to walk permanently…

The Surgery That Gives Her a Fighting Chance to Walk Again

Shannon is scheduled for a two stage spinal reconstruction on April 21st.

This is not elective.
This is the only path forward.
The surgery is designed to stabilize her spine, relieve nerve compression, and give her a chance to walk again.
