Hi Everyone,

My name is Brianna, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my brother, Sean Kelly. Five years ago Sean was diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) on his neck. It was a scary, eye opening experience for him, at the time he was lucky enough to have this spot localized to his neck and was able to undergo surgery to get it removed. A couple of months ago he noticed that the scar on his neck had opened up, and while getting it looked at the doctor gave him an MRI and discovered three more tumors, one on his hip which has caused a fractured pelvis, one on his spine, and one on his thigh.

After three appointments and many blood tests the doctors have told him that his bloodwork is most consistent with bony metastatic disease, simply put the cancer has spread from the original spot on his neck to his bones, causing immense pain and complications for Sean. At his most recent appointment he was told that he no longer can work and needs to be extremely careful weight-bearing given the location of the tumors.

Sean will undergo first of many surgeries this Friday, a biopsy to determine if the tumors are cancerous or benign, while hoping for a miracle the doctors at the Moffitt Cancer Center, where Sean is being treated, have kindly explained that there would be a very small possibility of these being benign given there is no other medical explanation for the three new tumors. While still holding out hope that he can maybe be a one in a million case for these tumors to be benign, I am still reaching out to friends and family for help during this extremely difficult time that Sean is facing.

As many know, he moved to Florida a little over a year ago and has been working as a contract employee, this ultimately puts Sean out of work with little financial support due to lack of medical and governmental benefits with being a contract employee.

Between medical bills, travel to appointments, medications, and time away from work, the expenses are quickly adding up. My hope in doing this will allow him to focus on healing without the constant stress of how everything will be paid for. All donations will go directly toward:

- Medical and treatment related expenses.

- Travel expenses for medical treatments.

- Rent and everyday living cots while he is unable to work.

Any amount truly helps, and if you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Sean in your prayers during this time means just as much.

Sean is one of the strongest people I know. He has never backed down from a challenge, and this is no different. While the prognosis is understandably frightening he is courageously waiting for his treatment plan so he can begin this fight. To know Sean is to know his strength, resilience and determination. No matter what is thrown his way, he will face it head-on and give it everything he has.
