Hello, our names are Lola and David, and we are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your prayers and support for our beloved nephew, Santiago Torres.

Our family is going through one of the most difficult times we have ever faced. Santiago has been diagnosed with Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody Disease (MOGAD) and Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM), two rare neurological conditions that have turned his and our family's lives upside down.

He is expected to remain in the hospital for 12–14 days, or possibly longer, while doctors continue his treatments and closely monitor his condition. Watching such a young child go through this has been absolutely heartbreaking. Every day brings more tests, treatments, and uncertainty, but Santiago continues to fight with incredible strength and courage.

His parents, María Rosario and Juan Carlos Torres, have not left his side. They are doing everything they can to comfort him and be there for every moment of his recovery. As you can imagine, staying at the hospital for nearly two weeks or more has created a tremendous emotional and financial burden.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help with hospital bills, medical expenses, travel costs, lost income, meals, and other expenses so Santiago's parents can focus entirely on helping their son heal without the added stress of overwhelming financial costs.

If you are able to donate, no amount is too small, and every contribution will go directly toward helping Santiago and his family during this difficult journey. If you are unable to donate, we completely understand. We ask that you please keep Santiago in your prayers and share his story with your family and friends.
