Update:

Today, April 5th, Heaven gained another angel. Sam passed peacefully with her family by her side.

Although this GoFundMe initially started as a humble way to assist Sam’s recovery efforts, its purpose has a new energized spirit- to help honor Sam’s legacy.

To know her was to love her. Sam was generous, selfless, kind, strong, and full of faith and love.

We would love this GoFundMe to continue on and assist Cole, Tuff, and the rest of Sam’s family in navigating these uncharted waters-

Our names are Kristen Baltz and Jennie Day and we are friends/coworkers of Sam's and the organizers of this GoFundMe effort. Although we know Cole and family are grateful for all prayers and have only asked for prayers, we knew we wanted to do more to lift up this family.

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for Sam, a devoted wife, mother, and friend who is currently fighting for her life in the ICU.

Sam is a dedicated phlebotomist at Central Washington Hospital, (and previously a certified nursing assistant) where she has spent years caring for patients with kindness and compassion. Now, she is the one who needs care, and we are rallying together to help her and her family through this unimaginable time.

She is a loving wife to Cole and the proud mother of their sweet 5-year-old son, Tuff. If you’ve ever met Sam, you know she has a heart of gold—a woman who would give her last ounce of strength to help someone else. But right now, she needs us.

Her battle in the ICU has been physically and emotionally exhausting for her family. Cole is doing everything he can to be by her side while also ensuring Tuff’s world remains as stable as possible. The financial burden of this crisis is no doubt overwhelming, and we want to ease that stress so they can focus on what truly matters—Sam’s hopeful recovery.
