We never thought we would be in this position, asking for help like this. Our Tia Ronda is in the ICU for the second time after multiple surgeries. She’s been in the hospital since January 21st.
The procedure she chose to have was meant to help her live a better, healthier, and happier life. It was something she hoped would give her more years, more memories, and more time with the people she loves. But what was supposed to be a simple procedure turned into something we never saw coming. Unforeseen complications led to emergency surgeries, and those complications have continued, resulting in multiple operations and ongoing health issues. In a matter of hours, everything changed. It feels as if, we take one step forward, we are taking two steps back.
Through it all, she is still the same ol Ronda — strong, funny, and completely selfless. Even now, she worries more about how everyone else is doing than herself. When we are crying for her, she is the one comforting us to feel better.
Ronda is the heart of our family and the reason why we are all so close. She is the one who holds us together when everything feels like it’s falling apart. She takes care of everyone — always has. She’s the calm in our hardest moments, the comforting hug after a long day, the first person to show up when someone is hurting. She carries our burdens without hesitation and loves without limits. She has spent her life taking care of others without ever asking for anything in return. Even the doctors and nurses are amazed by how strong and determined she’s remained through this all. She is truly a survivor.
She loves her work in payroll because she loves being dependable — being someone people can count on. Not being able to work right now has been incredibly hard for her, but right now her only job is to heal.
As she remains in the ICU, medical bills and everyday expenses continue to grow, and the financial stress feels overwhelming. With no income during this time, we are doing everything we can just to get by.
We are reaching out for your support. She has a long road of healing ahead of her, even after her hospital stay is complete, she will be placed in a rehabilitation center. Any amount will help ease this burden so Ronda can focus fully on recovering and getting stronger. If you can’t give, simply sharing this and keeping her in your prayers is more than enough.
She has always been our strength. Now she needs us to be hers.
Thank you for checking in with us, loving her, and comforting us during one of the hardest time of our lives.
