Please help support Rommel Borja through his fight against AML (leukemia).
Rommel is a husband, father, grandfather, friend, and loved by so many who need him to beat this cancer. He loves spending time with his grandkids, kids, and wife. He is always working on something outdoors when he is not working. He is a good friend to many and always there for others.
On November 13th, my dad suddenly felt very weak after dinner. When getting up to go to bed, he could barely walk, and my mom and brother rushed him to the ER. Within hours, he was transferred to a bigger hospital. After many tests, two days later, we received the worst news that he has acute leukemia and treatment needed to be started. After intense chemo and 30 days in the hospital, he was discharged, and we thought things were looking up. This was not the case. On Monday, 1/5, my dad had a second bone marrow biopsy, and unfortunately, the induction chemo did not work, and the leukemia is still present. He will now be admitted back into SLU on 1/8/26 for a second round of induction chemo, and we hope this will work and be followed up with a bone marrow transplant. The funds raised will be used for medical bills, transportation for my parents to get to appointments, medications, and the time my dad will be off work through his treatment.
We appreciate any help and all the prayers.
