Hi, my name is Vicki, and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my sister, Robyn.
On Monday, January 12, Robyn was taken to the emergency room after suddenly experiencing slurred speech, dizziness, blurred/double vision, and difficulty walking and maintaining her balance. After extensive testing and imaging, we learned last night that Robyn suffered a small stroke. While we are incredibly thankful it was identified and treated, she is still dealing with ongoing symptoms, including vision issues, and her recovery timeline is still unknown.
Robyn had undergone a full medical work up and continues to receive hospital care. She works part-time without benefits and does not have health insurance, which means she will be facing significant medic and hospital bills, along with time away from work during her recovery. At this point, we don’t know yet how long she will be hospitalized or how long she will be unable to work.
I want to be transparent and share that Robyn does not know we have started this fundraiser. She would never ask anyone for financial help, no matter how difficult things become. She is the kind of person who would quietly carry this burden on her own, even if it meant overwhelming stress. This fundraiser was started out of love by her family, because we want her to focus on healing - not worrying about how she will manage financially.
Anyone who knows Robyn knows her heart. She is always the first to help others, never complains, and consistently puts her family and friends before herself. Now, it’s our turn to step in for her.
Funds raised will go toward:
- Hospital and medical bills
- Follow-up care and testing
- Basic living expenses while Robyn is unable to work.
Any donation, no matter the size, will help lift a weight she should never have to carry alone. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as meaningful.
Thank you for surrounding Robyn with kindness, prayers, and support during the his unexpected and challenging time.
Sincerely,
Vicki
