Hi everyone,
I am reaching out to ask for support for my beloved friend, Kelsey, and her family during an incredibly difficult and unexpected time.
Kelsey and Matt's daughter, Riley, is a sweet 8-year-old who is bright, loving, and energetic. She should be spending her days playing, laughing, and just being a kid. Recently, her world - and her family - was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). A diagnosis that has completely changed life as they know it.
FDN affects how the brain and body send and receive signals, causing very real and often unpredictable physical symptoms. For Riley, this means facing challenges no child should have to endure, and her journey to recovery will take time, patience and specialized care.
Unfortunately, there are no pediatric specialists in her area that can treat her condition. Kelsey and her family are doing everything they can to support Riley while also caring for their son, Hayden. As you can imagine, the emotional and financial strain is overwhelming. Her family will need to travel frequently to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City to get the care she urgently needs. These trips will include appointments, therapies, and ongoing evaluation with specialists who understand FND in children.
If you know Kelsey, you know she is someone who would give the shirt off her back to help others. Now, she and her family need that same support.
Riley is a strong, brave little girl with a huge heart and so much life ahead of her. She continues to smile through the hard days and inspires everyone around her with her courage.
We are asking for your help to ease the financial burden on her family so they can focus on what matters most - helping Riley heal.
Any donation, big or small, will make a difference. If you aren't unable to give, please consider sharing Riley's story and keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. Every contribution will go towards Riley's medical care, therapy, and the support she needs to relearn and rebuild her daily life.
Thank you for supporting Riley on her journey toward healing and hope.
