Hi, my name is Brooklyn and this story is about my boyfriend, Richard. Richard is the most kind, sweet, caring person I have ever met. He does good in school and works like there is no tomorrow. He always helps people even when he can barely help himself.

Just Monday, he found out some terrible news no one wants to hear. Early Monday morning, he found out that his father, Nick, was detained by ICE at their family-owned restaurant. Nick was a kind person and was always working to take care of things. Richard was left behind with responsibilities no 17-year-old should have to take care of at a young age. He was left to take care of the restaurant and their apartment all by himself, left behind with bills on bills.

They might even have to sell the restaurant just to make some ends meet and he would possibly have to get another job to pay the rent on their apartment before their lease is up. No kid should have to go through this. Nick was all Richard really had to rely on.

I made this GoFundMe to help him raise money to be able to pay for these bills and to help him get on his feet until he can figure out everything.
