My name is Rene and I never imagined I would have to ask for help like this, but right now my children and I truly need our community.

After a recent domestic violence incident that you all may have seen in the news, the man who controlled our household finances was arrested. For a long time, he had power over all of our money. He took what we had and is now threatening to shut off our utilities, leaving me and my children scared about how we will keep our home safe and stable.

I am doing everything I can, as a single mother, to rebuild and protect my kids, but starting over after this kind of situation is overwhelming. Right now we need help covering basic necessities like utilities, groceries, and keeping a roof over our heads while we get back on our feet.
