My name is Hilary and I am raising funds to assist my niece, Raven, in paying for attorney and other fees resulting from a brutal custody fight over her 7-year-old son.

Raven has raised her son to be a curious, creative, active, and loving child. He loves science and music and has close friends that he spends time with. He loves raising tomatoes and other veggies. For his birthday a couple of years ago he asked for donations of items so he could put together care bags for the homeless in Ukiah. He gave out all the bags and was so happy!

Raven has kept him well-fed and clothed. She zealously works to make sure all his physical and emotional needs are met, all this despite being confined to a wheelchair in extreme pain.

Raven has cerebral palsy. She has been accused by her former partner of being unfit to care for her 7-year-old son because of her disability. She has been accused of abusing prescription drugs and alcohol to the point that she undergoes voluntary drug tests on a regular basis. She has even refused to take prescribed pain meds from her doctor. An unknown person is calling CPS on her constantly, even though she passes each inspection with flying colors.

Her son's father has not supported Raven and/or her son financially, in years, despite somehow having the ability to pay for a good lawyer.

Raven has temporarily won 50/50 custody of her son. She must still retain a lawyer and pay fees due to the ongoing nature of the case.

She needs a break. And money.
