Hi, my name is Katelyn, and I’m asking for your help for someone who means the world to me, my aunt, Randi.

A few days ago, our family heard the words no one is ever prepared for. My aunt has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of pancreatic cancer called undifferentiated carcinoma. It makes up only about 5% of pancreatic cancer cases. Because it’s so uncommon, there is very little research, very few clear treatment plans, and so many unknowns. We are walking into this fight with fear in our hearts, but also with hope that refuses to give up.

My aunt is not just a diagnosis. She is love. She is strength. She is the person who shows up for everyone else without hesitation. And now, she is the one who needs us to show up for her.

Due to the complexity of her cancer, she will need out-of-network specialists to give her the best possible chance. That means long drives, countless appointments, chemotherapy, surgery, and exhausting days that most of us can’t even imagine. As she begins this battle, she will be unable to work for the foreseeable future. While she’s fighting for her life, the medical bills, travel costs, and everyday household expenses will continue to pile up.

The weight of cancer is already heavy enough. We don’t want financial fear to be part of her fight.

We are creating this fundraiser to help lift that burden; to make sure she can focus on healing, on strength, on hope, and not on how to pay for treatment. Every single donation will go directly toward her medical care, travel for specialized treatment, and keeping stability in her home during this unimaginable time.
