UPDATE:
We are absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity and support you all have shown for Quinn and his family!
Because of you we have hit our initial goal.
As the initial goal was met and speaking with the family, who has been working with a medical financial planner, the estimated reality is a minimum of $100,000.00. With this news, we are continuing the campaign and setting up a new target goal to help ensure Quinn and his family's needs are met.
If you have already donated we thank you again and can't express how grateful we are for your support!
Please continue to share and spread the word.
We are reaching out to friends, family, and compassionate individuals to support Quinn and the MacKercher-Avis family as they navigate an unimaginable and life-altering journey.
Quinn, or Mighty Quinn as he is known to his close family and friends, was born with two extremely rare and complex medical conditions—Prune Belly Syndrome and Berdon’s Syndrome (MMHIS). Either condition alone is rare; together, they present extraordinary challenges.
Because of these conditions, Quinn has never been able to eat like most children. He relies on Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), which is no longer a viable option due to stress on the liver.
Although Quinn has faced his medical challenges with incredible strength and has enjoyed a good quality of life, he is now confronting the biggest hurdle yet. Due to ongoing organ complications, Quinn is in urgent need of a multi-visceral transplant. This includes the liver, bowel, and pancreas.
Quinn is currently on the transplant list and could receive “the call” at any moment. When that time comes, Quinn and his family will need to travel from Ann Arbor, MI to The Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for the procedure. Quinn will be required to stay there for six months to a year during his recovery.
We are asking for your support to help ease the financial burden this journey brings. Funds raised will go directly toward medical expenses, travel costs, and long-term housing during Quinn’s recovery.
Every dollar, every kind word, and every share truly makes a difference. Your generosity will allow the family to focus fully on Quinn’s healing and well-being.
Thank you for opening your heart, for standing with Mighty Quinn, and for being part of this journey. The family is deeply grateful for your support and kindness.
