My name is Prakash Prajapati (PK), and my life changed forever after surviving a violent armed robbery while working at a gas station. What began as a normal workday quickly turned into a nightmare that nearly took my life.

During the robbery, I suffered devastating and life-threatening injuries. The trauma was so severe that I had to be rushed into emergency medical care and spent a significant amount of time in the ICU fighting for my life. My family faced unimaginable fear and uncertainty as doctors worked tirelessly to stabilize my condition. There were moments when they did not know if I would survive.

As a result of this horrific incident, I sustained a serious spinal cord injury that has severely affected the right side of my body. Simple movements and everyday tasks that most people take for granted have now become daily challenges. I currently struggle with mobility and basic independence, and my road to recovery will be long, painful, and uncertain.

My recovery requires extensive medical treatment, rehabilitation, physical therapy, medications, follow-up care, and specialized assistance. Doctors and therapists are hopeful that with continued treatment and rehabilitation, I may regain some function over time, but the process will take months, possibly years, of intensive therapy and support.

Beyond the physical pain, this tragedy has caused deep emotional trauma for both me and my family. Watching a loved one fight for survival and face such life-altering injuries has been heartbreaking for them. My family has remained by my side every step of the way, helping care for me while also trying to manage the overwhelming emotional and financial burden this tragedy has created.

Because of my injuries, I am unable to work and support myself the way I once did. Medical bills, rehabilitation costs, daily living expenses, and ongoing care continue to grow. We are asking for help during one of the most difficult times of our lives.

મારું નામ પ્રકાશ પ્રજાપતિ (PK) છે, અને ગેસ સ્ટેશન પર કામ કરતી વખતે થયેલી એક ભયાનક સશસ્ત્ર લૂંટની ઘટનાએ મારું જીવન હંમેશા માટે બદલી નાખ્યું. જે દિવસ સામાન્ય રીતે શરૂ થયો હતો, તે થોડા જ પળોમાં એક એવા દુઃસ્વપ્નમાં ફેરવાઈ ગયો કે જેમાં હું લગભગ મારું જીવન ગુમાવી બેઠો હતો.

આ લૂંટ દરમિયાન મને ગંભીર અને જીવલેણ ઇજાઓ પહોંચી હતી. પરિસ્થિતિ એટલી ભયાનક હતી કે મને તાત્કાલિક ઇમરજન્સી સારવાર માટે હોસ્પિટલમાં ખસેડવામાં આવ્યો અને જીવન બચાવવા માટે ICUમાં લાંબો સમય પસાર કરવો પડ્યો. ડૉક્ટરો મારી સ્થિતિ સ્થિર કરવા માટે સતત પ્રયત્ન કરી રહ્યા હતા ત્યારે મારા પરિવારજનોએ અણમોલ ડર અને અનિશ્ચિતતાનો સામનો કર્યો. ઘણા એવા ક્ષણો આવ્યા જ્યારે તેમને ખાતરી નહોતી કે હું બચી શકીશ કે નહીં.

આ ભયાનક ઘટનાના પરિણામે મારી રીડની હાડકી (Spinal Cord)ને ગંભીર ઇજા પહોંચી, જેના કારણે મારા શરીરના જમણા ભાગની હલનચલન પર ગંભીર અસર પડી છે. સામાન્ય લોકો જે દૈનિક કામો સહેલાઈથી કરી શકે છે, તે હવે મારા માટે મોટો પડકાર બની ગયા છે. હાલ હું ચાલવામાં, હલનચલનમાં અને દૈનિક જીવનની સામાન્ય બાબતોમાં મુશ્કેલીઓ અનુભવું છું, અને મારી સાજા થવાની સફર લાંબી, પીડાદાયક અને અનિશ્ચિત છે.

મારી સારવાર માટે લાંબા ગાળાની મેડિકલ કાળજી, રિહેબિલિટેશન, ફિઝિકલ થેરાપી, દવાઓ, ફોલો-અપ સારવાર અને વિશેષ સહાયની જરૂર છે. ડૉક્ટરો અને થેરાપિસ્ટ આશાવાદી છે કે સતત સારવાર અને મહેનતથી હું ધીમે ધીમે થોડું કાર્યક્ષમતા પાછી મેળવી શકું, પરંતુ આ પ્રક્રિયામાં મહિનાઓ નહીં તો કદાચ વર્ષો લાગી શકે છે.

આ દુર્ઘટનાએ માત્ર મને જ નહીં પરંતુ મારા સમગ્ર પરિવારને પણ ભાવનાત્મક રીતે તોડી નાખ્યો છે. પોતાના પ્રિયજનને જીવન માટે સંઘર્ષ કરતા જોવું અને આવી ગંભીર ઇજાઓનો સામનો કરતા જોવું તેમના માટે અત્યંત હૃદયદ્રાવક રહ્યું છે. મારું પરિવાર દરેક ક્ષણે મારી સાથે ઉભું રહ્યું છે, મારી સંભાળ રાખી રહ્યું છે અને સાથે સાથે આ ઘટનાથી ઊભા થયેલા ભારે આર્થિક અને માનસિક બોજનો પણ સામનો કરી રહ્યું છે.

મારી ઇજાઓને કારણે હું પહેલાની જેમ કામ કરી શકતો નથી અને મારા પરિવારને સહારો આપી શકતો નથી. હોસ્પિટલના ખર્ચ, સારવાર, થેરાપી, દૈનિક જીવનના ખર્ચ અને સતત કાળજીના ખર્ચ ઝડપથી વધી રહ્યા છે. આ અમારા જીવનનો સૌથી મુશ્કેલ સમય છે, અને તેથી અમે આપ સૌની મદદ માટે વિનંતી કરીએ છીએ.

તમારી નાનીથી નાની મદદ પણ મારી સારવાર, થેરાપી, રિહેબિલિટેશન અને પુનઃપ્રાપ્તિ માટે સીધી ઉપયોગમાં આવશે. જો તમે દાન ન આપી શકો, તો કૃપા કરીને મારી વાર્તા અન્ય લોકો સુધી પહોંચાડશો અને મને તથા મારા પરિવારને તમારી પ્રાર્થનાઓમાં યાદ રાખશો.
