I got Phoenix when she was 9 weeks old. She was my first baby and I treated her like such. She is 9 years old and still full of life! She has always been so sweet and loving, so we knew something was very wrong when her behavior started to change.

This week she started throwing up persistently and had stopped eating altogether. She would just lay in 1 spot and wouldn’t come to anyone. After 1 vet visit, 1 emergency visit, and 2 rounds of X-rays, we were told she had a bowel obstruction and needed emergency surgery.

Thanks to my amazing family, they were able to come together and pay for the surgery. Unfortunately, vets are expensive and that has left me and my family with a scary financial burden.

We would do anything for Phoenix, she is a huge part of my family and extended family. Now we are just trying to keep our heads above water
