Hi, my name is Brandi. I am raising funds for my nephew, Parker, and his parents—my brother Mike and his wife, Kaighen.
I never thought I would be doing something like this, especially for my own family. But my nephew needs our help.
Parker is just 6 years old and about to turn 7. He was recently diagnosed with B-cell leukemia—just one week before his birthday. While this is every family’s worst nightmare, we are holding onto hope. This type of leukemia has strong treatment options and a very real chance of recovery.
If you know Parker, you know happiness. He is the most joyful little boy, and even in the hardest moments, he finds ways to smile and make the best of things. You simply can’t be around him and not smile.
This situation is incredibly personal to me because this is my family. Mike and Kaighen are the kind of people who never let anyone they love go without—and now they are facing one of the hardest chapters of their lives. I am stepping up to support them so they can focus fully on Parker and his fight.
Their lives have changed overnight. They are from Whitehorse but must now relocate to Vancouver for Parker’s treatment for at least 6–9 months.
Kaighen will be staying in Vancouver full-time by Parker’s side during treatment. Mike will return home to continue working and care for their children. While two of the kids will have some additional support from their mom, Mike is still carrying the full responsibility of working and caring for their youngest daughter on his own.
The funds raised will go directly toward easing the financial burden this situation brings, including:
• Living expenses in both Whitehorse and Vancouver
• Travel costs between the two cities
• Food, transportation, and daily living expenses during treatment
• Loss of income while Kaighen is unable to work
• Supporting their children at home
We will also be accessing every available resource and support system, but there will still be a significant financial gap during this time.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help our family stay focused on what truly matters—supporting Parker through treatment and giving him the strength and care he needs to recover.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much.
Thank you so much for your kindness, support, and for standing with Parker and our family during this time.
