It is with heavy but hopeful hearts that we are sharing this message. Recently, our family’s world was turned upside down when our mom, Marcia, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. As we have been navigating this sudden and serious diagnosis with Mom, it has brought on overwhelming physical, emotional, and financial challenges. With the start of treatment, her ability to remain employable has come to an abrupt halt. Her financial strain in meeting monthly living costs, in addition to unexpected medical expenses from her recent diagnosis has depleted her earnings. As a family, we are trying to help with our mom's financial aid, personal healthcare, and travel to appointments.
Marcia has worked her entire life and was full-time up until this diagnosis. She is a devoted mom of five children and a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren, who lovingly call her Abulita. For years, she has served as a caregiver — not just as a profession, but as a calling. If someone had a need, she tried to help meet it, even if it meant going without herself.
She is a woman of deep faith who loves Jesus and has lived her life serving others with humility, generosity, and compassion. Caring for people has always been at the center of who she is.
Now, as her children and family, we are stepping in to do for her what she has done for so many. We are believing in God’s perfect will and trusting Him through this journey, praying that one day she will look back on this difficult season and feel surrounded by love, support, and blessings in return.
Any donation — big or small — will go directly toward essential living expenses, medical-related costs, and easing the financial stress so she can focus on what matters most: healing, rest, and time with family.
If you’re unable to give, we ask for your prayers and for sharing this page. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with Marcia during this fight!
