Our family is coming together to support our dad after he was recently diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer that has spread to his liver. As he begins treatment, we are trusting God to guide us through this journey and are grateful for the love, prayers, and support surrounding our family.

Our family recently received devastating news that has changed our lives in an instant. At the tail end of last year, our dad began feeling unwell. As the weeks went on, his symptoms worsened and he eventually had our mom take him to the emergency room for answers. After scans and blood tests, doctors discovered concerning spots on his liver. Further testing and visits with specialists led to the heartbreaking diagnosis of stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer that has spread to his liver. While this diagnosis has been incredibly difficult for our family, our faith continues to carry us through. Our parents have always lived their lives grounded in their Christian faith, trusting God through every season. We are holding tightly to that faith now as our dad begins chemotherapy and treatment.

Our dad has always been the strongest man we know, resilient in any experience, and someone who shows up for others without hesitation and always guaranteeing a good laugh in his company. He has spent his life helping family, friends, and anyone who needed it. He has always been the outmost consistent, intentional, loving and giving man to anyone who crosses his path. His faith and character have always been an example to those around him. Our mom has taken time off work to be by his side through appointments, treatments and everything in between. She is currently using her sick leave and relying on FMLA, but that support is temporary.

To allow them to focus on what truly matters right now — our dad’s health, his treatment, and time together as a family — and to allow them to worry about one less thing, any financial contributions are graciously appreciated. Contributions will help ease the burden of medical costs, travel, and the many unexpected expenses that come with navigating cancer treatment. We believe God places people in our lives for a reason, and the love and support from family, friends, and community mean more than we can express.
