Help Elderly Guardian Grandmother Noni make it through winter.

Noni, approaching 80 years of age, is the sole caretaker of her daughter and teenage grandson, Collin. She raised her 3 children as a single mother after her husband abandoned the family and disappeared when the kids were young. Noni has struggled for years, always working several jobs at once to support her family with no outside financial help. Now as a senior with only nominal social security benefits, she has been working as a full-time Uber driver to support her family. This constant and prolonged struggle is taking its toll on Noni both physically and emotionally. In fact, at this point, she is totally overwhelmed. We, her elderly girlfriends, are extremely worried about her. And then the week from hell happened.

After dropping off an Uber customer on Jan 30th, Noni was involved in a very serious accident when a big rig trucker backed up into her, smashing the front end. Even if an attorney is able to help Noni, it will take a long time to resolve. By then, Noni and her family will be homeless. She doesn't even have the money to go to urgent care or pay the $1000 insurance deductible before she can get her car repaired. She certainly can't Uber anymore with a severely damaged car or even drive Collin to school 20 miles away.

In addition to the car accident, Noni's washing machine broke recently, forcing her to go to the laundromat again, which is expensive for a family of 3, and last week her old refrigerator quit and all of her food spoiled. Noni has no money to repair or replace it. In addition, she is behind on her mortgage and utilities, two months behind on car payments, and owes $6,000 in medical bills.

We know that these are hard times for so many folks. But if you can spare anything to help Noni and her family survive this period of crisis, it would be so appreciated. Noni is the kindest, most compassionate person you could ever meet. She always goes the extra mile to help others. From the depths of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, compassion, prayers, and generosity.
